Terms of Service

By using the Amigo mobile application ("Amigo", "the App"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Service Description

Amigo is an AI-powered health and wellness coaching application that provides meal logging, nutrition tracking, goal management, and personalized coaching insights. Amigo is intended solely for general wellness and informational use.

2. AI-Generated Content and Accuracy

Amigo's coaching responses, nutritional estimates, meal analyses, and insights are generated by large language models and other AI systems. AI outputs:

• May contain inaccuracies, omissions, or misinterpretations.
• Are estimates, not measurements — calorie and macronutrient values derived from meal photos or descriptions are approximate and should not be relied on for medical or clinical purposes.
• Should be independently verified by the user for any critical nutritional, allergen, or health-related decision.

You are responsible for using your own judgment and consulting qualified professionals when acting on information produced by Amigo.

3. Account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating your profile.

4. Subscriptions and EULA

Amigo offers a free tier and an "Amigo Pro" auto-renewing subscription. On iOS, all Amigo Pro subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and are governed by the Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. On Android, subscriptions are billed through Google Play under Google's terms.

Subscription length, price, and renewal terms are displayed in the app prior to purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Prices may change with notice.

5. Usage Limits

Free and Pro tiers have daily limits on sessions, meal logs, and messages per session. These limits reset daily. We reserve the right to adjust limits at any time.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or exploit the App
• Upload harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Share your account with others

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and technology in Amigo are owned by Amigo Health AI. You retain ownership of your personal data and uploaded photos.

8. Limitation of Liability

Amigo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to health decisions made based on AI-generated advice. Nutritional data is estimated and may contain inaccuracies.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Amigo shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.

12. Dispute Resolution

Before filing any legal claim, you agree to attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at support@amigohealthai.com. We will try to resolve the dispute within 30 days. If we cannot resolve it informally, either party may pursue formal proceedings.
